Sterilization by Ethylene Oxide
Our Getinge autoclave alows EO Ethylene Oxide Sterilization.
It is automatic and full computerised based system.
This process his validated by the monitorizations with biological and chemical indicators that give us the conformity for all cycles.
At the end of each process and after passing all tests, a Sterilization Certificate is issued to the customer.
When products to be sterilized cannot withstand the high temperature or high humidity conditions of steam sterilization, chemical sterilization using Ethylene Oxide gas is one of the few options available.
This small molecule gas penetrates common plastic and paper materials and therefore allows terminal sterilization in final packaging. In fact the packaging cartons may even be palletised.

* The Ethylene Oxide is a odourless gas, without color, inflammable and explosive. It is a powerful sterilizante with bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal and sporicida action, which had its capacity to intervue with the proteinic synthesis of the contaminante agent.
* Advantages:
- Sterilize materials without damaging them, promoting an increase of its shelf life and providing economy in the replacement;
- It is used for thermosensible materials;
- In many applications it substitutes the dry heat or steam;
- It is a highly penetrating gas, with great diffusibility and solubility.
